Protected category un gharo ke liye hai jin ke pichle 6 mahino me har mahina 200 units ya kam raha ho. Ek bhi mahina 200 se upar jaye to category khatam — aur aglay 6 mahine unprotected rates lagte hain.

Meter load (kW) — sanctioned load Bill par "sanctioned load" likha hota hai. Fixed charges isi par lagte hain (Rs /kW /mahina).

Fuel adjustment — FCA (Rs / unit) — andazay se Har mahine NEPRA tay karta hai; taaza FCA Rs 1.11/unit hai. Badal sakta hai.

Advanced — quarterly adjustment (QTA)

Quarterly adjustment (Rs / unit) — andazay se Har 3 mahine badalta hai. September–November 2026 ke billon ka QTA +Rs 0.5194/unit hai. Minus ho to bill kam hota hai.

Slab ka rate: unprotected me kul units jis slab me jayein, tamam units usi ek rate par charge hote hain (slab telescopic nahi hota). Protected 101–200 band me pichle slab ka faida milta hai — pehle 100 units Rs 10.54 aur baaki Rs 13.01 par lagte hain. Isi liye unprotected me 300 aur 301 units ke bill me Rs 1,300 se zyada ka farq par sakta hai — ek unit poori qeemat badal deta hai.
